These are undoubtedly challenging times. As the situation has grown more serious and countries around the world implement measures to safeguard their people and communities, we at Savory & Partners are also doing our part.
We believe it’s important that we are transparent and honest with you, so we would like to share what steps we have taken, what the governments have done, and how we continue to serve you. We are following all the recommended actions by the government to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and clients:
- All of our employees are working from their homes and following social distancing measures, and only making trips to our office when absolutely necessary
- We have implemented systems for remote work to ensure an uninterrupted workflow and communication within the company, as well as with our clients and partners
- As we continue to receive approvals, naturalisation certificates and passports, we make sure to handle these documents with care, making sure that everything is disinfected and by wearing gloves and masks
- We are communicating with governments regularly to ensure that our clients receive their passports and residencies on time and get any relevant updates
What the governments are doing
Like companies and individuals, governments are also implementing various measures following the Covid-19 crisis. Unfortunately, some governments have announced the possibility of delays in due diligence checks and processing of applications.
On the other hand, most governments have already started providing an option to submit any applications through their online portals.
- Antigua & Barbuda have announced possible delays, but have also announced a limited time offer. You can read more about the limited time offer here
- The Commonwealth of Dominica has started accepting application submissions through their online portal
- Grenada is now accepting application submissions through Dropbox while keeping their Immigration and Passport office open for emergencies
- St. Kitts & Nevis is now accepting application submissions online, but have announced expected delays, as well
- Montenegro has extended the validity of all submitted documents for up to 12 months
- St. Lucia is now accepting application submissions through their online portal. They will also delay the issuance of physical Certificate of Registrations, which will be dispatched as soon as possible
- Cyprus has implemented a remote application process for both Citizenship and Residency by investment applications, with the exception of providing biometric and passport collection, which is currently closed but can be done at a later stage
- Portugal has suspended appointments for submitting biometric data, but the rest of the application submission process is still unaffected
- Greece’s immigration offices are currently closed and do not have an online application submission option
- Vanuatu and Turkey have also announced delays in the application process
- Other programs are also adjusting to the current situation and making changes in their processes.
