In his statement, the Prime Minister thanked the People’s Republic of China for its ongoing support for the development of the country.
“With the signing of this visa-free agreement between our two countries, we will now enhance the relationship and will allow our people to move into each other’s country without the requirement of our visa. This clearly is a special dispensation and special consideration which China is granting, especially in this pandemic period.” Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
China’s Ambassador to Dominica, Lin Xianjiang expressed warm regards and said the two countries had a long history of diplomatic relations, mutual respect, and more.
“We want to push our bilateral relations to new heights and to facilitate international travel between our two peoples. I wish, with this agreement coming into effect, that the bilateral relations can be heightened further, the people-to-people exchange can be made closer and we can bring our friendship to a new level,” Ambassador Lin Xianjiang.
